Bob... I am so honored that Steve and I will be part of Gina's farwell celebration. Words can not express how you made me feel today. We love you all so very much and we are here for WHATEVER you may need today, tommorow and always. May God grant you the strenght you will need in the upcoming days. Love you so much.

Thanks for letting us know the date and place and time. I wouldn't miss the time to say goodbye to Gina. May the spirit of God guide you and the kids through these next few weeks as you go through all the changes that will take place. I also hope you will accept my help and anyone else for there are so many people who want to help you out. God bless. Feel hugged. I will be leaving Friday until the 18th of Feb. so I will be available for anything you or the kids need after that.

I checked this blog all through November and December wondering what Gina, you and the kids were going through. I never knew until now. I just knew that I felt the need to keep Gina in my heart and prayers on overdrive. I have been praying and praying and sending love. I am so sorry that Gina had to become cancer free this way. Gina and your faith was so strong. I was hoping for that miracle too. Gina was everything you said in your very honest and vulnerable posts. She was kind, loving, warm, funny and strong. She was a great mom, loving wife and authentic servant of Christ. I am glad her pain is finally gone; truly rejoicing (with tears streaming down my face) that she can indeed wear those angel wings and help so many others still down here on earth. I will pray, Bobby, that God holds you, the children and Gina's family in the palm of his gentle, comforting hands...holds you all close to his heart...

Bobby its so hard to believe the journey is over isn't it? She fought so hard to overcome all of the obstacles. What a beautiful sermon the priest gave today. I left with a peaceful feeling. Gina wouldn't want us to mourn her. I had a good cry clear down to my feet when I left the cemetery but now its time to go on and live like Gina would want everyone too. I learned so many life lessons from her and I want to "pay it forward" to others. I'd like to have a team for her in her honor at the next walk. I'll have to find out when that would be. Now its time for you Bobby to really take care of yourself. There are people you can talk to with support and groups you can go to when it seems like everything gets overwhelming. I want to stay a part of your lives and do things with Bailey and Riley. Fun things. Help you out taking them to their sports etc..Anything you need for that extra hand. But please first and foremost..take care of BOBBY cause you need rest from the big 2 year ordeal you've been through. Believe it or not, kids heal more quickly than adults. Their young minds stay busier. Keep us posted about how all of you are doing. You are all special to all of us who have read Gina's Victory Page. We care about you too! Friends forever, Cathy
Bob~ I am so sorry for you and the kids loss! I cant even begin to tell you how bad I feel, I was truly stunned hearing the news, It makes it worse that I didnt even know she was that sick. Things like this def put lifes little things into perspective, I loved Gina, she was an awesome person! At one point we were really good freinds and then when we moved we lost touch, and it really saddens me that I didnt make more of an effort to keep that friendship up! How easy it would have been for me to stop by when visiting my parents! I have no idea what your going through, i have never lost a spouse or even a sibling and I cant imagine it ever happening or even happening to me, leaving you and the kids so early in life, it just hurts thinking about it! She was truly a great person and she will be so missed! Your a great person and you can do this, I am sure it wont be easy but you have a lot of friends and family that love you dearly and would help with anything, although we live in iowa if you need anything let us know! Even a weekend away! Just give us a call! Your in our prayers!

Hey there Bob - I don't know you from Adam but I came across this blog while randomly browsing blogs (sad, I know). Your love and compassion to your wife, despite the trials and with kids - it is a breath of fresh air. I love how pure your love is for your wife.
One of my biggest fears is being in Gina's place and not being able to express my gratitude to my loving, devoted husband. Especially in those last days when painkillers take away all semblance of reality. But I know she appreciated every thing you did for her, and she's watching you and loving you every second until you and the kids join her, in due time.

Wow, Bob. I stumbled upon your wonderful Gina's page today. Just over a year it has been and I couldn't help but to post. You don't know me, but I can feel the pain you have felt and know that feeling when your heart hurts so badly. I know that Gina is in heaven and I only wanted to let you know that she is not forgotten, even by a stranger.
I hope you and your family are doing as well as you can, living life to its fullest and cherishing all of the memories you made. The heartache does not go away with time, but it doesn't hurt as badly as the days goes by. Good luck in your future. I hope you have been able to replace some of the sadness in your life with more joy.

Like many others, I stumbled across your blog, but I must say, I think it was no accident. Although every loss is different and uniquely painful, in a small way, I can relate to your loss. I lost my father many years ago, then lost 3 sisters in a 9 month period during 2009. At least one of them fought a similar battle to the one your wife did. I will pray for healing, peace, and blessings for you and your children. I have shared from my losses on my blog.
