New Update

Round Eight of Chemo on Tuesday.

  • We saw Dr Olopade and Dr Peabody on May 19th, 2008
  • Dr Peabody (bone doc) said all looks well - had X-ray on leg, calcification on hip, see him annually from now on and to stay on the Zometa ("super glue" for bones)
  • Dr Olopade said should only have six of these chemo treatments; however, since all is going well, wants to do two more (unless Gina shows signs of nerve damage)
  • Gina had more CT scans of pelvis & abdomen - all looked well
  • Scans showed slight decrease in all tumors or stayed the same
  • We saw Dr Nicholas (brain doc) who said all seemed fine with brain, vision still an issue but since brain tumor is located in area that controls all motor functions vision will be affected until tumor is gone
  • Dr Nicholas said appears Ginas memory is getting better
  • Tuseday is chemo again (treatment #8) with Zometa

Tatia (and the rest of the gang),

What a wonderful surprise to see you last night at the softball fields, I LOVE SOFTBALL, and always have, maybe Bailey did get something from mommy! I think the best part for me though is all the fresh air, (including the smell of popcorn from concessions)and getting out to see everyone.

It was nice to talk to you - and seeing the kids - man how they've grown! Chin up Hailey, MWA fell short last night too, it happens! :)

Hi Gina and Bob!

It was so nice to see you at the relay. I thought it was a great weekend. That was the first time I was out there. It was moving to see how everyone in our community gets together to fight so hard for a great cause.

I am glad to hear things looked good at the last dr. appt.
Keep kicking that cancer's butt!

Hi everyone!!

Maureen I just wanted to touch base and say HI! I have seen bret at the softball fields (usually with a line of girls drooling over him)..He's great! You have done a great job raising that boy!

NAOMI!! Oh goodness it is so nice to hear from you, I hope you and your family are doing good, I really miss you! One of your trips onto town we should met up..

Denise ~ it was great to see your smiling face at the relay, it is a really awesome thing to see isn't it. Hows work going? Hows the hubs?? I think about you often, and the rest of the Probation gang!!

I'm doing great, can't wait to have the next chemo (on 6-24) then I will start a new chemo regimen, the docs inform me that the new drugs I take will allow me to grow my hair back!! YIPPEE ~ I was about to go out and buy a big red clowns wig and wear that around, and I think Bob is afraid I really will do it...hey it would get a chuckle from everyone wouldn't it!!

Laughter is the best medicine - right. :)

LOVE YOU!!
Gina

It was great to see you at the Relay. What a great community we have! Such great turn out and support. I feel blessed to have been a part of it.
If Dr. Mc Miracles says you are ready to dance-name the place!
Love you!
PS-
Lia says to tell you she read your message and loved it. She says she looks up to you too and she's going to keep praying.
